Here are pictures of the first ever Statewide Healthcare & Human Services Career Fair. This event was designed to address the near critical shortage of workers at all levels in this industry, which is one of the the fastest growing career fields in Alaska. To meet this significant economic challenge, the state collaborated with numerous organizations to create this event. There were 50+ industry representatives from around Alaska bringing career and training opportunities to our community.

DPA Star

Who comes to mind when you hear the phrases "EOIP Superstar" and the "driving force behind the Jobs Achievement Zone"? This month's first star is known for their creative thinking and can-do attitude. Supervisors and co-workers describe her as someone with a great spirit and high energy. Coming to work early and staying late is SOP for this star, always giving it her "all". Hobbies include reading, creating beautiful art work, and movie trivia. And if you are interested in re-decorating your home -- our star may be able to give you some good advice. Can you guess who this star is?
