Below is the news release we are issuing during today's News Conference at 11:30 am. I want to be sure that you hear the news first. I have also attached a chart [PDF] which shows the new organizational structure, to help you determine
internal movements within the Department. ---
There is so much detail involved in this large reorganization, we cannot possibly
cover it all in an announcement like this. Over the next few days we will be
releasing more detailed briefings for each division so you understand exactly
how this will affect you. I am also working with Department staff to develop
a site on our Intranet for all information related to the Restructuring Project.
On this site you will be able to receive information, ask questions, and track
our progress.
I appreciate your patience and cooperation in this difficult and important
project. Our effort to improve efficiency and maximize the resources available
to this Department is vital to the preservation of care services. This Department's
strength rests in its talented workforce, and we will rely on each of you to
complete this task.
