I am pleased to announce that Mary Riggen-Ver has accepted our offer to become the Chief of Program Integrity and Analysis section. Mary will transfer to her new position effective June 16th. Many of you know Mary from her 17 years working for the Division of Public Assistance. Most recently Mary has been our Quality Assessment Program Officer.
Prior to that, she served as our Heating Assistance Program/EBT manager and as a WIC program manager. She will oversee our performance measurement efforts, and manage the QA, Fraud, Benefit Issuance and Recovery, and Contracted Services Monitoring and Research units. Those fortunate to have worked with Mary appreciate her competent, cooperative and helpful nature. Her impressive work history is coupled with deep dedication to our mission of helping low-income Alaskans.
Please join me in congratulating Mary and supporting her as she assumes the challenges of her new job. Mary was chosen from a field of outstanding candidates from our division. Hard as these choices are to make, it gives me such confidence in the future of our division to see such talented staff seeking to help us in leadership roles. I offer my sincere thanks to those who were interested in this position for sharing their remarkable understanding and commitment to our important work.
