Update on the Blaster Worm attack on DPA computers

Network Services worked during the weekend to update many computers statewide to resolve issues related to the Blaster Worm virus infection. Unfortunately, we were unable to perform the updates on computers in remote offices because the systems were powered off. If you are still experiencing problems a technician will be contacting you or your office to install the necessary patches and remove the virus from your PC.

Offices we still need to address are: Homer, Kotzebue, Nome, and SERO.

If a co-worker is unable to log on to the network at the windows log on screen, please have them check the logon information. It may need to be changed to the following format:
Username: FirstinitialLastname (not case sensitive)
Password: (we did not change passwords)
Log on to: DPA

Thank you for your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience,
