The first manual changes have been completed for the Family Medicaid, Adult Public Assistance, and Aged, Disabled, and Long Term Care Medicaid online program policy manuals. Attached are PDF versions of the manual change descriptions and the sections that have been changed. The updated manuals are now available on the DPA website at http://dpaweb.hss.state.ak.us/.
These manual changes incorporate updates announced previously by broadcast and include:
the recently aligned education income policy,
updates to the income eligibility standards, Long-Term Care resource and income allowances, Low-Income Subsidy resource limits, and premiums, deductibles and co-pay amounts for Medicare Part D,
additional groups exempt from the Medicaid citizenship verification requirement,
minor clarifications and technical changes.
A detailed description of the changes to these manuals can be found in the memos or manual changes folder under the Contents tab for each manual. Open the last manual change listed, and click on the underlined manual sections within the document to view the actual text changes. The changes to text within the manual are marked by a line in the right margin.
Note: The icons at the top of the manual page for adding to favorites, printing or e-mailing a manual section are temporarily not working for the Medicaid manuals and will be fixed next week.
