732-2 A. CUSTOMIZED EMPLOYMENT
Customized Employment is a strategy for assisting individuals to succeed in employment through matching an employer’s business needs to the individual’s strengths.
732-2 B. CUSTOMIZED JOB DEVELOPMENT
Customized Job Development is the process of evaluating businesses in light of an individual’s strengths and preferences to identify a specific employer to negotiate employment with.
Discovery is a process of observation, conversation and traditional assessment which identifies the strengths, skills and complexities of an individual and family.
Families First is the DPA service delivery mechanism for increased collaborative services and customized employment strategies for ATAP families.
The Family Service Team includes an ATAP family, Work Services case manager, partner agencies, and other members chosen by the family. The Family Services Team is responsible for planning with and supporting a Families First participant through activities and employment.
732-2 F. NEGOTIATED EMPLOYMENT
Negotiated Employment is the process through which the evaluation of an employer’s business needs results in a unique, negotiated employment opportunity that is beneficial to the participant and the employer.
The Profile is a narrative document resulting from Discovery that describes a family in terms of strengths and complexities of the family, and job skills and interests of the individual.
732-2 H. REPRESENTATIONAL PORTFOLIO
The Representation Portfolio is a personalized proposal for employers that shows the value the Families First participant will bring to the employer’s business.
The Service Team Plan identifies the Families First participant’s plan for successfully going to work and maintaining employment, including activities the family will engage in. The Service Team Plan is integrated into the participant’s FSSP .
with life complexities who wish to work into a job that fits the needs of the participant and the employer.
