MANUAL: Alaska Temporary Assistance Program

The Alaska Temporary Assistance heating and non-heating utility standards change effective October 2015. The Eligibility Information System (EIS) will automatically apply these new standards when determining eligibility and benefit amounts beginning October 2015. We also made a change based on an inquiry from Contracted Services Quality Assurance.

OVERVIEW OF CHANGES

MS 720-5      Self-Sufficiency Planning Requirement

• Corrected the language in this subsection to state that the father of an unborn child may develop an FSSPFamily Self-Sufficiency Plan, rather than must develop an FSSPFamily Self-Sufficiency Plan before the child is born.

Addendum 2      Temporary Assistance Income and Payment Standards

• Updates the heating and non-heating utility standards for FFY 2015.
