Energy or utility expenses that are provided to low-income families with a child under the age of 19. These payments may be made by Eligibility Technicians, TANFTemporary Assistance to Needy Families Case Management Staff, or by staff utilizing LIHEAP and LIHWAP (Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program and Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program) eligibility software. TANFTemporary Assistance to Needy Families payments are for households under 200% of FPLFederal Poverty Limit for Alaska and predominately for households under 150% of FPLFederal Poverty Limit under LIHEAPLow Income Home Energy Assistance Program and LIHWAPLow Income Household Water Assistance Program determinations.
