750              FINANCIAL NEED

To be eligible for ATAPAlaska Temporary Assistance Program, a caretaker relative and dependent child(ren) must be financially needy.  Financial need, for a child or family which meets the other eligibility criteria for ATAPAlaska Temporary Assistance Program, exists when all three of the following conditions are met:

• The total amount of countable resources available to the assistance unit do not exceed the resource limit; and 

• The total monthly countable income available to the assistance unit does not exceed the standards in ATAPAlaska Temporary Assistance Program MSManual Section 775, and 

• The parent or caretaker relative and dependent child(ren) are not eligible to apply for assistance from a Native Family Assistance Program (NFAP).  

Note:

To qualify for a NFAPNative Family Assistance Program, eligible individuals must live in the area served by that program.
