775              INCOME ELIGIBILITY

Determining income eligibility involves two tests:

• Determine if the family has a gross monthly available income that does not exceed the 185% Standard for their family size and type; and 

• Determine if the family's available income, after subtracting all possible income deductions, does not exceed the Need Standard for their family size and type.

If these determinations show the assistance unit is eligible, a separate computation is done to determine the amount of payment.
