OVERVIEW OF CHANGES
MS 103-6 RETENTION OF CASE RECORDS
- Removed section about Work Services sending files to DPADivision of Public Assistance for file retention
MS 105-3 DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE
- Removed note regarding paying out of state birth certificates on behalf of DPADivision of Public Assistance clients
MS 105-7 COLLATERAL CONTACT
- Clarified when Work Services Case Managers obtain income verification from a collateral contact DPADivision of Public Assistance staff must use this source of verification in the eligibility determination, if enough information is obtained for the determination. Otherwise, DPADivision of Public Assistance staff can directly contact the employer for additional information
- Added that Work Services case managers complete and upload GEN 155Employment Statement form and WS 155Work Services Employer Collateral Contact Form into Secure Document Portal for income verification obtained by collateral contact
MS 105-13 PARTIAL LIST OF VERIFICATION SOURCES
- Replaced WinStar reference with ACSESSAlaska Child Support Enforcement Services System system for Child Support
MS 108-2 CONTENT OF A NOTICE
- Clarified denial notices sent to households do not need to include a list of household members
- Added income calculation requirement to include conversion factors in all eligibility determination notices
MS 109-10 CASE MANAGERS USE OF CANO
- Revised that Work Services Case Managers upload the GEN 55Report of Change, GEN 155Employment Statement form, and the new employer income verification WS 155Work Services Employer Collateral Contact Form into the Secure Document Portal when income information is obtained from collateral contact
- Removed requirement that case managers must send an alert when CANOCase Notes entry is created
MS 111-7 PAYMENTS RECEIVED IN DPA OFFICES
- Clarified two DPADivision of Public Assistance staff in the same office are required to sign the GEN 38Public Assistance Claim Remittance unless staffing does not allow it, in which case it can be signed by a second DPADivision of Public Assistance employee in a different DPADivision of Public Assistance office
