9200-1          INTRODUCTION

All agencies that administer their own TANFTemporary Assistance to Needy Families program have access to several state systems including: EISEligibility Information System to view benefits issued by the state, SAMSecure Access Manager to view unemployment information, and CSSDChild Support Services Division WinStar to view information related to child support collection. Most agencies have view only access. The exception is CITCICook Inlet Tribal Council Incorporated who uses DPADivision of Public Assistance's EISEligibility Information System system to issue the benefit and send notices related to the benefit.

Not all employees at the NFAPNative Family Assistance Program agency should have system access. It should be limited to those staff who cannot do their job without it. If a staff member accesses the system only once or twice a year, it's likely access is not really needed. When requesting access to state systems, staff must work through the single point of contact at their agency and their sponsor in DPADivision of Public Assistance Policy. Requests should not go directly to the help desk.
