We have made several changes to clarify existing policy as a result of policy questions or suggestions from the field. An overview of the changes are listed below.

OVERVIEW OF CHANGES
816-1(B) Pregnant Women
- Clarified that verification of pregnancy is only required if the mother is expecting multiple births or if the caseworker finds the situation questionable
819 Types of Income
- Revised section for clarity by adding new subsections regarding earned income, unearned income, and exempt income
- Clarified that bonuses are treated like lump sum payments
- Clarified when private disability payments are countable and when they are exempt
823-1(B) Other Electronic Data Sources
- Clarified that IEVSInstant Eligibility Verification System must be checked at application, renewal, and when an adult is being added to a case
- Removed INGENSPublic Information Database as this is no longer a valid interface now that IEVSInstant Eligibility Verification System is available
823-2 Reasonable Compatibility
- Revised section for clarity
828-2(F) Adding Household Members to the Transitional Medicaid Case
- For clarity, added another example with "adding a child" to the household
831(E) Coordination with Division of Health Care Services (DHCS)
- Added note clarifying that the letter from DHCSDivision of Health Care Services indicating an individual received services of an emergent nature and indicating the covered dates of service is not a determination of eligibility. DPADivision of Public Assistance caseworkers must determine eligibility for Emergency Treatment for Aliens based on the criteria outlined in 831(B).
Addendum 3 Countable and Excluded Income for MAGI Medicaid
- Revised table by removing detailed information and moved it into new subsections of MS 819
