823-1 SOURCES OF ELECTRONIC VERIFICATION
823-1 A. FEDERAL DATA SERVICES HUB
The hub is an electronic data source that provides verification of federal data in ARIES . Alaska has chosen to use 4 of the data services from the hub.
1) Social Security Administration information is used to verify SSN , citizenship, Title II monthly or annual Income, and date of death.
2) Department of Homeland Security/Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements Program (SAVE) information is used to verify qualified alien status.
3) Federal Third Party Resources such as Medicare, Tricare , VA , Peace Corps.
4) Verify Current Income (the Work Number).
Note:
Information obtained through the hub may not be used for other public assistance programs.
823-1 B. OTHER ELECTRONIC DATA SOURCES
Several data systems and computer interfaces are available through the Internet and EIS . Some interfaces must be checked at each application and redetermination as part of the verification process. Others only need to be checked if questionable or if certain conditions apply.

Note:
The data agreement with SSA allows DPA to use the SOLQ interface to determine eligibility only for Alaska ATAP , SNAP , Medicaid, and APA programs.
In some situations, the information will be from the source and can be used as verification. In other situations, the ET must follow-up on the information.
Example:
The caseworker checks the interfaces and data systems for the two members of an applicant household. The Department of Labor system shows one is currently receiving unemployment benefits of $120 weekly. This information is used as income verification since the information is directly from the source of the income.
The caseworker also finds that the other applicant had earnings listed for the prior quarter. The caseworker must verify their income if they are still working or verify job ending information if they are not.
