1013-2          PASSParents Achieving Self-Sufficiency II / III CHILD CARE TRANSITION

Families with eligible children are informed of potential ongoing child care resources through the PASSParents Achieving Self-Sufficiency II referral notice (W150).

When an ATAPAlaska Temporary Assistance Program case closes with earned income, families with eligible children may apply for PASSParents Achieving Self-Sufficiency II through the Alaska Child Care Information System (AKCCIS) at AKCCIS.com.

Families whose ATAPAlaska Temporary Assistance Program case closes without earned income may alternatively qualify for PASSParents Achieving Self-Sufficiency II if they meet program requirements.

Families interested in continuing child care assistance should be referred to AKCCIS to submit an application and have their eligibility determined by the Child Care Assistance Grantee.  Eligibility for PASSParents Achieving Self-Sufficiency II or PASSParents Achieving Self-Sufficiency III is not automatic and requires an eligibility determination by the Child Care Assistance Grantee.

Additional information about PASSParents Achieving Self-Sufficiency II/III can be found in the Child Care Assistance Progam Policies and Procedures Manual section 4050.

Requests to close and ATAPAlaska Temporary Assistance Program case due to earnings must include distribution of the PASSParents Achieving Self-Sufficiency II Referral Notice (W150) according to ATAPAlaska Temporary Assistance Program MS 740-2.
