1016-1           CASE REVIEW STAFFING PROCEDURES FOR ALL STAFFINGS

The following procedures apply to all staffings, including quarterly, extension, and exit.

The work services provider is responsible for the following:

Staffings are conducted quarterly.

The assigned case manager arranges all staffings.  The case manager reviews the months of assistance used for each case and arranges staffings accordingly. The quarters are counted using the TANF Months Used Report which is accessed through Document Direct.

If the number of months used is divisible by 3 then a quarterly staffing is due.

Example:

A family has applied and the case manager meets to develop the FSSP and notices that the family has used 35 months of TA.
When meeting with the family the case manager begins to make arrangements for a quarterly staffing for the following month.
 36/3 = 12 (quarterly is due)

Staffings will be held on months 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30, 33, 36, 39, 42, 45, 48, 51, 54, and 57. Quarterly staffings will be held for clients on extension to the life-time limit.

If a client, who has been on ATAP closes their case, then reapplies within one month of the due date for a Quarterly staffing, the initial intake and assessment may function as a staffing as long as all other staffing requirements are met.

Example:

If a client closes in month 19, maintains employment for 2 years, then reapplies, the case should be staffed at month 21, not 3 months from the applic

Note:

If the case is at 58 months or if an extension is due to expire then an extension staffing is due. See WSPM MS 1016-5.

For families living in exempt Native Villages the number of months used will not change. In these cases quarterly staffings are conducted according to the following schedule:
