We have updated the self-employment annualization table based on changes in the Federal Poverty Guidelines (FPG) for Alaska effective April 1, 2019. We have also made several changes to clarify existing policy as a result of policy questions or suggestions from the field.

OVERVIEW OF CHANGES
MS 712-1 DEFINITION OF A CARETAKER RELATIVE
Clarified that NSTAR interface screens FD50 , FD52 , and FD55 via the Non-Custodial Parent (NCP) field can be used to verify the paternal relationship to a child and should be the first resource used by a caseworker to verify the relationship
MS 712-3A PARENTAL RELATIONSHIP DEFINITIONS
Clarified that a court or CSSD can determine parental relationship
MS 712-3B VERIFYING PARENTAL RELATIONSHIP FOR CHILDREN BORN IN ALASKA
Clarified that a court or CSSD can determine parental relationship
