MANUAL:  Alaska Temporary Assistance Program

The Alaska Temporary Assistance heating and non-heating utility standards change effective October 2015.  The Eligibility Information System (EISEigibility Information System) will automatically apply these new standards when determining eligibility and benefit amounts beginning October 2015.  We also made a change based on an inquiry from Contracted Services Quality Assurance.

OVERVIEW OF CHANGES

MS 720-5 Self-Sufficiency Planning Requirement

• • Corrected the language in this subsection to state that the father of an unborn child may develop a FSSPFamily Self-Sufficiency Plan, rather than must develop a FSSP before the child is born.

Addendum 2  Temporary Assistance Income and Payment Standards

• • Updates the heating and non-heating utility standards for FFYFederal Fiscal Year 2015.
