We are making several changes to clarify existing policy as a result of feedback from the field. These changes include:
Other changes are either technical in nature or clarifications that are the result of policy questions or suggestions from the field.

OVERVIEW OF CHANGES
MS 602-4 Deductions
Adds an exception to clarify that an expense must be verified if it results in a deduction and is questionable.
MS 602-4 E Shelter Deduction
Adds a note to section 7 stating that rent for individuals in subsidized housing must be verified.
MS 604-2 B Recertification: Application Filing Deadlines
Adds instruction on registering a recertification received the month after it's due.
MS 604-3 B Status Reporting
Clarifies that new shelter costs must be verified if questionable when a status reporting household reports new shelter expenses.
MS 605-4 B Subsistence Hunting and Fishing
Changes field name from SUBSIST HUNT/FISH to FS SUBSISTENCE ID CARD in second paragraph.
MS 606-1 A Monthly Food Stamp Issuance
Updates EIS Procedure from 2000-10 to 2010-1
Adds a link to EIS Procedure 2010-1
MS 606-3 Replacing Food Stamp Benefits
Changes the title of the 2nd section from “Replacing Benefits Already Spent” to “Replacing Benefits Lost in a Disaster” to more correctly describe this section.
Adds a new paragraph to explain that if an Alaska Quest card is reported stolen by a client and benefits were used, only the benefits that were used after the report of loss are eligible for replacement.
