600-1 G.     QUALITY ASSESSMENT REVIEWS

Each month food stamp cases are randomly selected for review by the Division of Public Assistance, Quality Assessment Section.  The purpose of this review is to determine the accuracy of the eligibility determination and allotment.

Households are required to cooperate with Quality Assessment staff.  Refusal to cooperate by any household member results in closure of the food stamp case.  The household remains ineligible for food stamps until it cooperates with the Quality Assessment reviewer or until 95 days after the end of the review period.  Refer to Administrative Procedures Manual section 113-6.

The caseworker notifies the household of this case closure and/or ineligibility following notification of non-cooperation from a Quality Assessment staff member.
