5220-3        INITIAL SIX MONTH ELIGIBILITY PERIOD

The initial six-month period begins with the first month of ineligibility for Family Medicaid.  There are only three eligibility requirements the household must meet during this period:

  1. The household must continue to include a child meeting the Family Medicaid age requirements; and

  2. The household must retain Alaska residency; and

  3. The specified relatives must continue to cooperate with third party liability (TPL) efforts and the Child Support Services Division (CSSD).

Note:

Only the specified relative may be disqualified for TPL or CSSD non-cooperation.

If the household fails to meet one of the above conditions, Transitional Medicaid benefits will end after timely notice is provided.
