122-11        MANDATORY PAYEES

To set up direct deposit, the payee signing the form must be the same payee listed on the CAP1 screen in EISEligibility Information System. Only the payee, authorized representative, or someone with a Power of Attorney (POAPower of Attorney) can sign the Direct Deposit Enrollment form to set up a case for direct deposit. Refer to Admin MS 100-3(1) "Guardianship and Conservatorship" for additional information and who can act on behalf of a client.

The client needs to have a joint bank account with the payee to avoid the bank from rejecting the benefits.
