121-5          DELIVERY OF PAYMENTS

There are three methods of delivering cash (ATAPAlaska Temporary Assistance Program, APAAdult Public Assistance, Senior Benefits, and General Assistance) payments:

• Electronically via EBTElectronic Benefit Transfer Card (SNAPSupplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and ATAPAlaska Temporary Assistance Program)
• Direct Deposit (ATAPAlaska Temporary Assistance Program, APAAdult Public Assistance, and Senior Benefits payments)
• Warrant (APAAdult Public Assistance, Senior Benefits, and General Assistance payments)

Warrants are mailed to the payee and the address should be one at which he or she customarily receives mail. Payments may not be mailed to him or her in Care Of (C/O) a creditor and they may not be forwarded from one address to another.

The payee may request that warrants be delivered to him or her in a specified way, but the Division cannot, on its own authority, determine that delivery is to be made to any other person, or place other restrictions upon its delivery except as provided for in protective payee situations.
