117-15        FAIR HEARING EXPENSES

The Division is responsible for certain expenses necessary to carry out the fair hearing proceedings.  The expenses include, but are not limited to, telephone calls, copier use and copies, interpreter services, and additional medical assessments.

The Division will not pay for a private attorney who represents the client.

The agency must consult with the administrative law judge regarding any questionable expenses for which the Division may or may not be responsible.
