104-6          SNAPSupplemental Nutrition Assistance Program INTERIM REPORT

The SNAPSupplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Interim Report forms are date stamped and registered the same day they are received in the DPADivision of Public Assistance office. All SNAPSupplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Interim Report (IRInterim Report) forms (FSP 95SNAP Interim Report Form) will be acted on promptly in accordance with the timeliness standards described in the SNAPSupplemental Nutrition Assistance Program manual.

The following procedures are for the correct processing of the SNAPSupplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Interim Report:

• The Interim Report Form (FSP 95SNAP Interim Report Form) and the SNAPSupplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Interim Report notice (X054) will be sent to the SNAPSupplemental Nutrition Assistance Program household 45 days before the middle of the SNAPSupplemental Nutrition Assistance Program certification period and will include a postage paid return envelope. This will be sent in the 5th month for a case certified for 12 months and in the 11th month for a case certified for 24 months. If the FSP 95SNAP Interim Report Form is not returned 20 days after it is sent, the household will be sent the automated Non-Receipt of SNAPSupplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Interim Report notice (X052).

• If DPADivision of Public Assistance receives the FSP 95SNAP Interim Report Form timely, it will be registered on the RERE screen under the REC INTERIM (FSP 95SNAP Interim Report Form) field.

• If there is information on the FSP 95SNAP Interim Report Form that requires further clarification, a cold call is attempted. An interview must not be scheduled or conducted at the time of processing the Interim Report. If verification is needed, SNAPSupplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits continue through the established certification period, and a soft pend notice (N020) is sent to the household.

• If DPADivision of Public Assistance receives the FSP 95SNAP Interim Report Form timely, requested mandatory verification, and the household provided the information more than 30 days after the case closed, the household will be required to file a new application for SNAPSupplemental Nutrition Assistance Program using the Application for Services (GEN 50CApplication for Services).

• If the FSP 95SNAP Interim Report Form is not returned to DPADivision of Public Assistance 30 days after it was sent, the SNAPSupplemental Nutrition Assistance Program case will close with adequate notice. The system generated notice SNAPSupplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Closed ‒ Interim Report (X053) will be sent to the household.

• When the FSP 95SNAP Interim Report Form is received outside of the required midpoint of the SNAPSupplemental Nutrition Assistance Program certification period, it must be treated as a report of change. Caseworkers may not input the FSP 95SNAP Interim Report Form on the RERE screen if the FSP 95SNAP Interim Report Form is received outside of the 5th/6th month of a 12-month certification period or the 11th/12th month for a 24-month certification period.

Note:

SNAPSupplemental Nutrition Assistance Program recipients are required to complete the Eligibility Review Form (GEN 72Eligibility Review Form) at the 12 or 24-month recertificaton period.
