MANUAL:  Aged, Disabled and Long Term Care Medicaid Eligibility Manual

Date:  July 1, 2009

Tribal documents such as a tribal enrollment card or a Certificate of Degree of Indian blood may be used to verify both citizenship and identity.  This manual change adds this information to the citizenship chapter and includes two other minor changes.

OVERVIEW OF CHANGES

MS 520 B  US Citizenship and Eligible Alien Status

• Adds tribal documents to the list of documents which can verify both citizenship and identity

• Clarifies instructions regarding the BV code and when a screen print is placed in the case file

MS 554 L  When a transfer of assets penalty is imposed, immediately notify:

• Replaces Natalia Manfredi's name with that of Douglas Myers in bullet #1
