MANUAL: Aged, Disabled and Long Term Care Medicaid Eligibility Manual
Date: April 1, 2009
Beginning April 1, 2009, all children under the age of 19 who are eligible for Medicaid (except BA , TM , 4M , and Retroactive Medicaid categories) remain eligible for those benefits for a continuous 12-month period. This change applies to all actions taken on or after April 1, 2009.
The manual has been updated to change all references to 6-month continuous eligibility to 12 months, and language that no longer applies has been removed.

OVERVIEW OF CHANGES
MS 515 Continuous Eligibility and Children in SSI -Related Categories
• Changes 6 months to 12 months.
• Removes language about review periods that no longer applies.
MS 515 A TEFRA Case Processing
• Changes dates in example to fit new continuous eligibility period ( CEP ) rules.
• Removes unnecessary steps in instructions.
MS 515 B LTC Category with HCB Waiver Services Case Processing
• Changes dates in example to fit new CEP rules.
• Adds instructions to consider other Medicaid categories if a review is submitted.
MS 515 C Level of Care Denial and DKC Waiver Case Processing
• Removes section
MS 515 D Level of Care Denial; Medicaid Continues Case Processing
• Changes dates in example to fit new CEP rules.
• Removes unnecessary steps in instructions.
• Changes section number to 515 C.
MS 520 A Application and Review Process
• Adds a statement that SSI related categories review annually.
MS 562 L LOC Denial by DSDS for On-Going HCB Waiver Cases
• Changes 6 months to 12 months regarding CEP .
