MANUAL:  Aged, Disabled and Long Term Care Medicaid Eligibility Manual

We are making several changes to incorporate new policy, clarifying existing policy, and align policies within our policy manuals. Other changes are either technical in nature or clarifications that are the result of policy questions or suggestions from the field.

521(A)        APPLICATION SUBMITTED THROUGH THE FEDERALLY FACILITATED MARKETPLACE

• Revised note to clarify that the FFMFederally Facilitated Marketplace referral must be made by sending the M070 as EISEligibility Information System cannot transfer client information electronically.

521(B)         APPLICATION SUBMITTED THROUGH DPADivision of Public Assistance

• Revised note to clarify that the FFMFederally Facilitated Marketplace referral must be made by sending the M070 as EISEligibility Information System cannot transfer client information electronically.

524(L)       ALASKA NATIVE AND AMERICAN INDIAN REAL PROPERTY RESOURCE EXCLUDED 

• Added noted clarifying that Alaska Native property remains exempt if it passes from AN/AI to one or more relatives, such as a spouse or child, even if the relative is not AN/AI.

ADDENDUM 3        COUNTABLE AND EXCLUDED INCOME FOR ADLTC MEDICAID

• Added VA Disability as countable income
