We are making changes to incorporate new policy, clarify existing policy, and align policies within our program policy manuals. Other changes are either technical in nature or clarifications that are the result of policy questions or suggestions from the field.

OVERVIEW OF CHANGES

310-3      VERIFICATION

• Clarified which interfaces must be checked at application and recertification, and which should be checked if the caseworker receives questionable information.

310-4    CERTIFICATION PERIOD

• Added a new subsection to clarify that Senior Benefits needs to be reviewed annually or more frequently if circumstances warrant.

324-6     SYSTEMATIC ALIEN VERIFICATION FOR ENTITLEMENTS (SAVE) PROGRAM

• Revised section now that SAVE is part of IEVSInstant Eligibility Verification System.

ADDENDUM 1

• Added notice L100 for Senior Benefits Approved 1 month and removed notice L018.

ADDENDUM 2

• Added a new Addendum outlining basic countable and excluded income for Senior Benefits.
