We have updated the program standards with the new Federal Poverty Levels. Other changes are either technical in nature or clarifications that are the result of policy questions or suggestions from the field.

OVERVIEW OF CHANGES

310-2A     APPROVING THE APPLICATION

• Clarified that a Senior Benefits application can be used for second month eligibility if first month is denied

330-1     INCOME LIMITS

• Updated income limits based on the 2022 FPLFederal Poverty Limits changes that are effective 4/1/22
• Added a note to clarify the use of the couple standard even if only one is eligible

330-2    COUNTABLE INCOME

• Clarified that the countable monthly income should be what is expected during the certification period

330-2H    DEATH BENEFITS

• Added new subsection regarding death benefit income
