The income limits and payment amounts for the Senior Benefits Program are based on the Alaska Federal Poverty Guideline and will change each year as the poverty level changes.  The income limit and payment levels are effective April 1, 2026 and are listed below:

 

 

Senior Household

 

  • Income up to 75% of FPLFederal Poverty Limits

 

  • $250 monthly payment

 

 

  • Income between 75% and 100% of FPLFederal Poverty Limits

 

  • $175 monthly payment

 

 

  • Income between 100% and 175% of FPLFederal Poverty Limits

 

  • $125 monthly payment

 

Individual limits

 

  • $14,963 per year
  • $1,247 per month

 

  • $19,950 per year
  • $1,663 per month
  • $34,913 per year
  • $2,910 per month
Couple limits

 

  • $20,288 per year
  • $1,691 per month

 

  • $27,050 per year
  • $2,255 per month
  • $47,338 per year
  • $3,945 per month

 

Note:

The countable income of both spouses who live together are considered when determining a couple's income eligibility, regardless of whether or not the spouses are both eligible for assistance.
