HIPAA Training
Before receiving access to any State of Alaska system, it is required that the employee take HIPAA (Health Insurance and Portability Accountability Act) training and submit the certificate along with a copy of their photo ID when requesting access to State of Alaska systems.
The HIPAA Training is available online here: https://learn.dhss.alaska.gov/login/index.php
First, you need to create an account (on the right-hand side):
Next:
Type in a username for your new account.
Type in a password.
Type in your email address.
Type in your name, city info, and country info.
Type in the words you see in the “Enter the words above” box.
Select your referring division from the drop down menu (Public Assistance is usually referred to as DPA, but listed just as Public Assistance on here).
Type in the agency name (i.e. your organization's name).
After logging in to the training site click on the HIPAA Privacy and Security Training link to begin the course.
