Service Population: Maniilaq Association operates a TANF program providing Temporary Assistance and related services to all eligible Alaska Native and American Indian families within the Maniilaq service area.
Single parent families in which the eligible children are enrolled in a federally recognized tribe;
2-parent families in which at least 1 of the adult applicants is enrolled in a federally recognized tribe;
Child-only cases in which the child is enrolled or eligible to be enrolled in a federally recognized tribe; and
A pregnant woman in her third trimester bearing a child of Alaska Native or American Indian descent and will be eligible to enroll in a federally recognized tribe once born.
Service Area: The Maniilaq service area communities include:
Ambler, Buckland, Deering, Kiana, Kivalina, Kobuk, Kotzebue, Noatak, Noorvik, Selawik, and Shungnak.
