812-2 ASSIGNMENT OF MEDICAL SUPPORT RIGHTS
A Medicaid applicant or recipient signs over to the State of Alaska the right to medical support from all sources for any child included in the Medicaid household as a condition of eligibility.
Assignment of Rights is automatic upon application. When assistance ends, so does the assignment. If a former recipient reapplies, assignment is automatic upon re-opening of the Medicaid case.
812-2 A. EFFECTIVE DATE OF ASSIGNMENT
Assignment takes effect the date the ET opens the Medicaid case and authorizes the initial benefit.
812-2 B. WHAT CHILD SUPPORT ASSIGNMENT COVERS
The assignment covers obtaining and continuing medical support during the period of Medicaid eligibility.
812-2 C. WHAT CHILD SUPPORT ASSIGNMENT DOES NOT COVER
Assignment does not cover medical support for children who are not receiving Medicaid.
