808 U.S. CITIZENSHIP AND ELIGIBLE ALIEN STATUS
To receive Medicaid, a person must be:
- A United States citizen or U.S.United States National;
- A qualified alien, as described in MS 808-2. Qualified aliens may be subject to limited eligibility as explained in MS 808-4.
- A Native American born in Canada or Mexico who has treaty rights to cross the U.S./Canada and U.S./Mexico borders as described in MS 808-3.
- A Compact of Free Association (COFA) migrant, as described in MS 808-5(B).
