802-3        Other Notice Requirements

If an individual appears eligible for MAGI Medicaid but also appears eligible for non-MAGIModified Adjusted Gross Income Medicaid, a notice must be sent. The notice must give information about the other types of Medicaid and what is needed to determine eligibility for that category.

Approval notices must include information about level of benefits and approved services (for example, Home and Community Based waiver services). The notice must also include the date eligibility is set to begin and end.

Notices must be accessible to persons with limited English proficiency or disabilities. This includes oral interpretation and/or written translations. See Administrative Procedures Manual section 100-6 for instructions about helping persons with limited English proficiency or disabilities understand a written notice.
