the Retirement and Benefits program provides
to you and your dependents
6 counseling sessions, per issue, per calendar year (Jan - Dec)
at no cost to you.
EAP is a confidential assistance program
to help address the personal issues
you and your dependents are facing.
EAP service is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week
and it is administered by Magellan Health Services
for State of Alaska employees.

The feeling "I can handle it myself" can be adding to the pressures you may feel at work and at home. Magellan Health Services has been contracted by AlaskaCare to provide support, resources and information to you and your family on a confidential basis, at no charge to you, as a state-sponsored benefit. This brochure explains how your program can help you and your dependents get the support you need, when you need it.
Magellan Health Services provides confidential consultation on personal issues through the Employee Assistance Program at no cost to you, to help address the personal issues you and your dependents may be facing. This service, staffed by licensed, experienced clinicians, is available by phone 24-hours a day, seven-days a week. A Guidance Consultant will refer you to a local counselor or to resources in your community. You may call any time with personal concerns.
