Ron Kreher, Director
Born at an early age on the frozen shores of Lake Michigan, Ron got to Alaska as fast as he could. Where, after 20 years of a checkered and surreal work history he was hired by the Division of Public Assistance. As an ET in the 1980's Ron helped to field test and implement EIS. After 5 years with DPA he returned to college and finished undergraduate and Masters studies in Anthropology. Armed with an advanced education he returned to work for DPA in a position 2 ranges lower than the one he had a few years earlier. Since returning to DPA, Ron was an ET in the Juneau District Office, worked in the nascent Network Services section as a PAA, was Special Assistant to the Director and, in 1997, was hired as the Division's Work Services Program Officer. In his current position as Director, Ron is responsible for overseeing the entire Division of Public Assistance.
