1004-7          PASS I CHILDCARE

 

Reliable childcare can be one of the most important resources available to families on ATAPAlaska Temporary Assistance Program.  While their ATAPAlaska Temporary Assistance Program case in pended or open, families with children through age 12 are eligible for PASSParents Achieving Self-Sufficiency I childcare.  It is critical that care is authorized timely and correctly.  Guidance for PASSParents Achieving Self-Sufficiency Policy and Procedure can be found at https://health.alaska.gov/media/igiccwuf/child-care-assistance-program-policies-and-procedures.pdf section 4040.

 

1004-7 A.          PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES AGREEMENT PASS I

 

Prior to authorizing PASSParents Achieving Self-Sufficiency I care the WSPWork Services Provider must review the content of the following document with each parent on the case and obtain their signature(s) on the CC3.   

 

1004-7 B.          CHILDCARE RESOURCE AND REFERRAL 

 

If a family needs assistance locating a childcare provider who will accept PASSParents Achieving Self-Sufficiency payments they can be referred to THREAD to locate appropriate care. 

 

 

1004-7 C.          ALASKA CHILDCARE INFORMATION SYSTEM

 

Once a childcare provider has been selected, the WSPWork Services Provider utilizes https://AKCCIS.com to create an authorization for childcare.  The site provides guidance on authorizing care, job aids, and technical assistance. 

 

 

1004-7 D.          CHILDCARE TRAINING
