1005-5           NON-URGENT CONSULTATION REQUESTS

A Consultation Request for a transfer from Work First to Families First will be considered when a family has experienced an increase in complexities or obligations that directly hinder their ability to participate in work activities. These transfers will generally be considered in alignment with the household’s Family Quarterly Progress Report.

For two parent households in which one parent has identified substantial complexities that meet criteria, both adults’ case management will be transferred because the complexities of one impact the whole family.  The parent who is not directly facing the complexities will be encouraged to participate in as many activity hours as possible.

A Consultation Request from Families First to Work First will only be considered when a family has mitigated the circumstances that lead to the Families First referral and they are now able to consistently participate in work activities for a minimum of 25 hours a week.
