We are making several changes to clarify existing policy as a result of suggestions from the field. We have also made changes to the self-employment annualization table based on changes in the Federal Poverty Guidelines (FPG) for Alaska.

OVERVIEW OF CHANGES

 

754-2 Non-Recurring Lump Sum Payments

• Adds a note to clarify that the countable amount of the refugee resettlement payment is the amount that is actually received by the family.

• Adds a cross reference to ATAPAlaska Temporary Assistance Program MS 758-2 for exempt vendor payments.

• Adds a cross reference to FSFood Stamp MS 605-6 for households that are categorically eligible for the Food Stamp Program.

 

757-19 Non-Recurring Lump Sum Payments

759-6 E. Budgeting Self-Employment Income

• Updates the annualization chart in subsection 4 to reflect new federal poverty guidelines.

 

770-1 SSI Child Cases

• Clarifies the countable amount of SSISupplemental Security Income to a child receiving SSI and differentiates between the RSDIRetirement Survivors Disability Insurance and SSI benefits.

• Adds a note with a hyperlink to the APA 3 form for SSI children whose SSI is being reduced by ATAP/TANF income.
