770-5   INELIGIBLE ALIENS

An alien parent who is not a "qualified alien" is not eligible for ATAPAlaska Temporary Assistance Program.  The needs, resources, and income of all household members who would be required to be included in the MFUMandatory Filing Unit must be considered when determining eligibility.  If eligibility exists for the entire unit then the ineligible alien parent is excluded from the case.

Ineligible alien parents may voluntarily develop, sign and comply with an FSSPFamily Self-Sufficiency Plan. Ineligible alien parents must be referred to a Work Services case manager in order to receive the opportunity to volunteer.
