758 UNEARNED INCOME
Unearned Income means all income that is not considered earned income. It includes:
- Retirement, Social Security (RSDIRetirement Survivors Disability Insurance, but not SSISupplemental Security Income) benefits, and Veteran's pensions;
- Dividends and interest;
- Unemployment compensation;
- Strike benefits;
- Direct child support;
- Contest or lottery prizes and bingo winnings;
- Payments from any type of cash assistance program;
- Deposits into joint accounts owned by a member of the assistance unit and any person outside the economic unit;
- Crowdfunding accounts;
- Cash gifts by someone who is not in the economic unit; and
- Net amounts "deemed" available to the assistance unit from stepparents, parents of minor parents, or Form I-864 alien sponsors and signatories.
