751-4          CARETAKER RELATIVE RESPONSIBILITY TO CHILDREN

Under Alaska law, if a dependent child lives with his natural or adoptive parent, all the resources and income available to the parent are considered to be equally available to the child.

Exception:

The resources of a minor parent's parent are not considered to be available to the minor parent.

If the child is living with any caretaker relative other than a natural or adoptive parent, the resources of that caretaker relative are not considered available to the child.
