737 WORK: ATTENDANCE AND PERFORMANCE
Within the labor market, employers expect their employees to appear for work on time and to satisfactorily perform their job duties. Participation in work activities helps participants learn to meet these expectations and compete successfully in the labor market.
To meet work activity expectations, the participant must:
Attend the assigned work activity, and
Perform the work activity successfully.
This means the participant will:
Appear and remain at their work or activity site as scheduled;
Arrive on time, ready to perform assigned tasks;
Perform assigned work activities successfully, within the time allowed.
Mandatory participants who fail, without good cause, to meet attendance and performance expectations are subject to a penalty. See chapter 723, Penalties.
