712-2 LIVING WITH A CARETAKER RELATIVE
In most instances, the requirement of "living
with" a caretaker relative is simply a matter of demonstrating that
the child(ren) listed on the ATAP
application genuinely live in the same residence as the caretaker relative.
Determining if an applicant and child(ren) meet the requirement of living
in the home of a caretaker relative involves answering the following questions:
1. Does the adult applicant meet the criteria of a caretaker relative?
2. Are there sufficient documents or collateral contacts verifying that the child(ren) live with the caretaker relative?
712-2 A CARETAKER RELATIVE VERIFICATION

An official birth certificate is the best document for verifying relationship but not the only document. The caseworker should be sure an official birth certificate is unavailable before using other documents to verify relationship.
