This update adds additional Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependents (ABAWDAble-bodied Adult Without Dependents) policy that takes effect January 1, 2016.

In addition, new policy around reinstating certification after case closure has been included that discusses when and how this waiver is implemented.

Other changes are either technical in nature or clarifications that are the results of policy questions or suggestions from the field.

OVERVIEW OF CHANGES

MS 602-1G Determining Requirements and Exemptions

• Adds ABAWDAble-bodied Adult Without Dependents work exemption for chronic homelessness.
• Adds a note for chronic homelessness.

MS 602-4D Medical Deductions

• Adds a note on prescribed pet or service animals.
• Adds a note on deductible expenses.

MS 604-3E Verification Requirements: Changes Reported During the Certification Period

• Adds policy to reinstate certification after case closure - mid certification.
• Adds example for reinstating certification after case closure - mid certification.

MS 605-3B Expedited Service

• Adds updated policy for postponing the interview for certain expedite applications.
• Adds an example for postponing the interview for certain expedite applications.

MS 607-4A Repayment Letter and Agreement

• Updates statement that a claim is established for every error.
