We are making several changes to clarify existing policy as a result of suggestions from the field. We have also made changes to the self-employment annualization table based on changes in the Federal Poverty Guidelines (FPG) for Alaska.

OVERVIEW OF CHANGES
MS 602-1 D US Citizenship and Eligible Alien Status
- Adds a link in subsection 4 to new subsection demonstrating when benefits begin when the 5 year waiting period ends.
- Adds a new section to clarify when benefits begin at the end of the 5 year waiting period.
MS 602-1 H Caseworker Responsibilities – Work Requirements
- Corrects notice number from X001 to F001. The X001 does not exist.
MS 602-1 I Voluntary Job Quit and Reduction of Work Hours
- Clarifies the process for job quit penalties for a semi-annual reporting household in subsection 2 e.
- Adds examples to section 2 e.
MS 604-3 G Adding a Member To The Household
- Clarifies that the same verification rules apply when adding new household members to an existing case that apply at application.
- Adds a link to the verification section in 601-4.
MS 605-2 B Excluded Members
- Adds a note to subsection 1 a to clarify how to code TA income and shelter expenses in the household where the adult household members are excluded.
MS 605-2 D Income From Self-Employment
- Updates the Annualization Chart based on an increase in federal poverty guidelines.
MS 605-2 E Military Pay
- Clarifies the amount of money used from a joint account by a deployed individual is not countable income to the family in subsection 1 a.
- Adds SAVE pay to the list of excluded military income in subsection 2 b ii.
- Clarifies that only the amount of military pay provided to the household is countable income in subsection 2 b ii.
Addendum 3 Entitlements Table
- Corrects SAVE pay to indicate it is not countable income. This is considered combat pay.
Addendum 7 Food Stamp Budget Worksheets
- Updates links to current FSP 74 & 75 forms.
