DATE:   May 18, 2012

The Farm Bill of 2008 (which governs Food Stamp rules) mandated the resource limits for the Food Stamp program increase each year based on the Consumer Price Index.  The resource limit for households who are SPECAT and have at least one household member who is disabled or age 60 or older increased to $3,250 effective October 1, 2011.  There is no change to the $2,000 resource limit.
