605-7 H(1) PFD Permanent Fund Dividend for Ongoing Cases

APA Adult Public Assistance/FS Food Stamp Combination Case:

Jim has an ongoing APA Adult Public Assistance/FS Food Stamp case.  On 9/25 he reports to the agency that he will get his PFD Permanent Fund Dividend in October, this was verified through the PFD Permanent Fund Dividend Interface.  Jim plans to spend all of his PFD Permanent Fund Dividend money by the end of November.  Since Jim is a status reporter for Food Stamps, he is required to report this income.  Jim’s Food Stamps are not adjusted for October since Jim’s report is received after adverse action.  In November the PFD Permanent Fund Dividend is considered a resource, however, resources held by an APA Adult Public Assistance recipient are exempt for Food Stamps, no further action is necessary.
